Acer has announced the release of a 24-inch GN245HQ monitor aimed at gamers. GN245HQ is the first monitor to use Nvidia’s HDMI 3D solution, allowing users to also enjoy 3D from PlayStation 3 and 3D Blu-ray players.

Todays 120 Hz monitors support 3D but only from a PC. Acer’s new GN245HQ also supports 3D via HDMI which means that you can connect external 3D players and gaming consoles such as the PlayStation 3.

The monitor supports true 120 Hz which also improves response time in games (and is required for 3D). Other features include a W-LED backlight, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 2 ms (g2g) response time, and 1920x1080 pixel resolution. It’s based on a TN panel.
