Panasonic has released a new sound bar for 2011. The model SC-HTB520 is a 2.1 sound bar with a wireless subwoofer, 3D support and an audio return channel.

Most manufacturers nowadays release sound bars to complement the thinner and thinner TVs. Panasonic has a 2011 model ready called SC-HTB520.

The new sound bar is a 2.1 system meaning that it has two stereo channels and a subwoofer that connects wirelessly to the sound bar. Panasonic says that the SC-HTB520 matches 42-inches TVs and above.
The system supports 3D pass-through meaning that can input a 3D signal from a 3D Blu-ray player to the sound bar, only use the sound signal, and make a pass-through signal to a 3DTV. The sound bar also an audio return channel (ARC). Lastly, Panasonics mentions a Clear-mode Dialog function.
Panasonic SC-HTB520 will be available from April 2011. No pricing details yet.
