LG talked about a new D42P range of PC monitors with Cinema 3D (3D with the much cheaper polarized 3D glasses) at CES in Las Vegas in January. Now LG has officially presented two PC monitor ranges with Cinema 3D called LG D41P and LG D42P.

LG has flat panel TVs with passive 3D coming in 2011 such as the LW6500 range. LG also wants to export their Cinema 3D technology to PC monitors to support the trend of 3D PC gaming.

With D42P and D41P LG is introducing their first two PC monitor ranges with Cinema 3D (or passive 3D). Cinema 3D is based on the much cheaper polarized 3D glasses without batteries that you know from movie cinemas. LG believes that Cinema 3D will provide users with a more pleasant experience without flicker and eye strain.

LG promises new models from 21.5 inches to 25-inches. All monitors come with 1920x1080 resolution, 5 ms response time, HDMI 1.4 input and 2D-to-3D conversion.
Prices are still unknown but LG says they plan to release the monitors in Europa in June 2011.
