NEC outs new “Office Cool” EX231Wp monitor

NEC has released a new 23-inch EX231Wp with PVA panel, LED backlight and a very slim frame. NEC’s Office Cool range of monitors is targeted at office desks and home offices.

NEC is now expanding their range of Office Cool monitors with a new 23-inch variant called EX231Wp – a successor to last year’s EX231W with a TN panel.

EX231Wp has a cPVA panel with Edge LED backlight. The LED backlight enables NEC to reduce power consumption to just 27 W in normal use. An ambient light sensor is also used to adjust brightness on the LCD automatically.

NEC has put effort into designing a very sleek and elegant cabinet for their Office Cool range and EX231Wp is wrapped in a minimalistic 14.6 mm bezel.
