Do you remember Sony's iconic 2005"Balls" TV spot where bouncy balls were released in the streets of San Francisco? Sony is back with a new chapter. This time Sony has released tennis balls in the streets of Wimbledon, London, to promote Wimbledon in 3D.

Wimbledon is approaching and the men’s and women’s finals will be filmed in 3D and broadcast in 3D on BBC HD as well as in select movie cinemas.

Sony is one of the Wimbledon sponsors and Sony’s 3D cameras are also used to film the event. In order to promote the 3D aspect Sony has shot a new TV ad based on their iconic 2005 Bravia TV ad.

In 2005 Sony released bouncy balls in the streets of San Francisco. This time Sony has released thousands of tennis balls in Wimbledon, London. Check out the new"Balls" TV ad yourself.


The Wimbledon 3D finals will be screened on Saturday 2 July and Sunday 3 July.
