At IFA, LG introduced "Dual Play" where 3D glasses are utilized for showing two completely different images on the same TV – simultaneously. Dual Play works with multi-player gaming from a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. LG’s Nano LW980T / LW980S model will be the first to incorporate Dual Play technology.

With Dual Play users can wear 3D glasses in multi-player games that support split-screen gaming and especially shooters and racing gamers can benefit from the technology – but only in 2D. LG says that the technology also works for TV shows, Smart TV and more, but right now only split-screen gaming is supported.
Dual Play requires two pairs of 3D glasses; one pair with only left-eye lenses and one pair with only right-eye lenses. The special polarized 3D glasses are included in the box. Users do not need to update their gaming consoles – just activate the split-screen option in the game and press the 3D button on LG’s remote control to find the Dual Play option.
