Apple has made movie rentals and movie sales available in a range of new European markets, through the official iTunes Stores. Apple TV now also supports movie rentals in the same EU countries.
Apple enters more EU countries with movie rentals
Apple’s movie rentals and sales of movies have been available in the US and in the largest EU countries for some time but now Apple has made the service available in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden – possibly other countries as well. These markets only had access to the music store in the past.

Movie rentals run for around 5 Euro and most movies are available in HD resolution. The movie catalogue is relatively large but may vary from country to country. Some titles are only available to buy.
Apple has also added the option to rent movies on the Apple TV box even though it is not officially available in most European countries. We expect it to become available soon and in most markets it is available via online retailers.
