Mitsubishi exhibits curved 2.7 m. OLED screen

At the on-going CEATEC 2011 exhibition in Japan, Mitsubishi is exhibiting a 2.7 meter OLED display that comprises 696 smaller OLED panels measuring 96x96 mm each. Mitsubishi calls their module OLED solution Diamond Vision.

Mitsubishi introduced their module-based Diamond Vision displays in 2009 and has since then come up with larger OLED modules and more spectacular designs.

At CEATEC 2011 in Japan, Mitsubishi has demonstrated a gigantic curved OLED screen measuring 2.7 meters. 696 smaller OLED panels (96x96mm) are used to create the screen but with almost zero bezel the screen still looks stunning.

Mitsubishi has demonstrated Diamond Vision screens in the past including a 155-inch OLED-TV and a gigantic globe built from 10,362 OLED panels. Mitsubishi is primarily using their Diamond Vision OLED panels for large-size commercial displays. They have no plans to release it on the consumer market.
