DT50 is a beautiful, slim TV with a narrow metal frame and a very slim cabinet. The WT50 is also slim and has a boomerang-shaped metallic stand.
Both DT50 and WT50 offer IPS panels with Clear Panel Pro, and backlight scanning picture systems. They also offer active 3D and 2D-3D conversion. The cheaper ET50 model utilizes passive 3D with polarized 3D glasses.
Smart Viera is the new updated Smart TV platform and in 2012 Panasonic focuses on connectivity and apps. Panasonic and its partners plan to add a range of new apps in 2012 and the connectivity features enable tablet and smartphone owners to push media content from their devices onto the TV screen, as well as controlling the TV with the same handheld devices. A web browser is mentioned as well and Panasonic also highlights a Touch Pad controller and multitasking on WT50.
