At the Mobile World Congress 2012 (MWC), Sony has unveiled a new range of smartphones, as well as a new SmartDock for their Xperia P smartphone that projects the smartphone screen to your TV screen.
Sony SmartDock
Ever wanted to connect your smartphone to your TV screen? Sony has made it possible with the SmartDock that lets you connect your Xperia smartphone to the dock for a ”full PC experience” on your TV. It is not exactly a full PC experience but it opens up new possibilities.

The SmartDock basically uses HDMI to project the image and if you have a newer Sony TV you can browse the smartphone’s music, pictures, videos and app via the TV remote (with HDMI-CEC). Sony says that you can also use a keyboard and mouse.

The SmartDock includes USB connectors if you want to connect external devices (such as the keyboard or mouse). And if you have a wireless dongle solution, you can use that.
