Sony's new sound bars can improve sound quality when connected to your Sony TV or any other flat panel TV. The CT260 is the most powerful variant but both can imitate surround sound with Sony’s so-called 3D sound system.

Both come with a subwoofer and the subwoofer for the CT260 is wireless. It only requires power but can be placed anywhere in the room and link up wirelessly to the main sound bar unit. The smaller CT60 promises 60W effect and the larger CT260 delivers 300W if you add up the total effect as is the norm in the business today.

Sony HT-CT260 also features Bluetooth technology, enabling users to stream music from their PC, smartphone or tablet with Bluetooth support. With this feature users can avoid having to hook up cables.
Sony says that the HT-CT60 will be available by the end of September and that the HT-CT260 will be available from early October – in other words, we should expect to get the first glimpse at IFA 2012.
