LG has already confirmed the introduction of their 84" 4K TV at IFA, but Sony has something similar planned. CNET reports that Sony has plans to introduce 84-inch TV with 4K resolution at IFA 2012 in Berlin.

Sony 84-inch 4K TV
4K resolution is four times higher than Full HD and regarded as the next generation of TV technology. Sharp has already exhibited prototypes of 4K TVs and 8K TVs. LG has announced the first 4K TV and Sony has similar plans, according to sources in the TV industry.
Sony’s Crystal LED-TV was Sony’s highlight at CES 2012 in January. At IFA 2012 in September Sony plans to show a 84-inch 4K TV
According to the report, Sony plans to showcase an 84-inch TV with a 4096x3072 pixel resolution – a variant of 4K resolution. However, note that this is not the same pixel resolution as for example LG's 4K TV.
The source says that Sony’s 84-inch TV will have a retro-styled look with a modern twist. The panel will utilize edge LED and the TV has detachable speakers. Some sources claim to know that it will cost around 30,000 USD. The 84-inch TV is also said to be part of Sony’ new 9 series.
Sony has already introduced a projector with 4K resolution and a Blu-ray player with 4K upscaling (no real 4K play back, though). FlatpanelsHD will report directly from the IFA floor, starting next week.
