Just a few years ago Panasonic’s large-size TVs were based exclusively on plasma technology but Panasonic has decided to expand their LED range. The latest LED model is the largest ever for Panasonic. Say hello to the 60-inch Panasonic TX-L60ET5.
Panasonic 60-inch LED model
At IFA 2012, Panasonic has unveiled their largest LED model ever. The 60-inch model does not break any records but it signals a strategic shift for the Japanese TV manufacturer that has relied on plasma technology for large-size TVs in the past. The plasma TVs are still here but they are now accompanied by LED models.

Panasonic’s new TX-L60ET5
The new TV is introduced in the ET5 range and called TX-L60ET5. It has an IPS panel with passive 3D technology, utilizing the inexpensive 3D glasses from movie theatres. The TV also comes with Panasonic’s Smart Viera platform that offers access to internet services and network connectivity. Panasonic’s remote app for smartphones and tablets is also supported. The TV can connect to the internet via WiFi.
Panasonic’s 60-inch TX-L60ET5 will be available in Europe later this year. FlatpanelsHD already has a Panasonic ET5 review online.
