Sharp’s 90-inch TV was launched in the US earlier this year. At IFA 2012 Sharp has unveiled the European version. It is coming to Europe in 2013 with backlit LED and 3D. A 90-inch TV is almost 4 times larger than a 46-inch TV.

Americans have enjoyed Sharp’s 90” TV since this summer and soon it will be available in Europe, FlatpanelsHD is told.

Sharp’s 90-inch TV is coming to Europe
A 90-inch TV is huge. It is almost 4 times larger than a 46-inch TV and more than twice as large as a 55-inch TV. The TV is 1.2 meters tall and 2 meters in width, and Sharp has reduced the aluminium bezel to a minimum. Despite the large format the TV is less than 12 centimeters in depth and weighs 64 kilograms.
The panel uses backlight LED, which ensures even light homogeneity on the LCD panel.

Sharp has integrated their AQUOS NET + internet platform and the TV support 3D in Full HD resolution with the active 3D system.
Sharp tell us to expect the TV in 2013. FlatpanelsHD hear that the TV will be “achievable” – but obviously pricier than Sharp’s 70 and 80-inch models.
