Are you waiting for LG or Sony’s massive 84-inch 4K TVs? Then start saving. Sony’s XBR-84X900 will be out in November for $25,000. LG’s TV will be out next month for $20,000.
4K TVs next month
LG, Sony and Toshiba all announced 84-inch 4K TVs at IFA 2012 in Berlin. Toshiba’s will not be out until next year but Sony and LG are moving forward with their first 4K TVs.

LG’s 84-inch 84LM9600 Cinema 3DTV
LG’s 4K TV will be out first as LG promises an October launch window. The TV will be available in the US for $20,000 USD and later in Europe for an undisclosed price. LG’s has implemented the complete Smart TV platform.

Sony introduces the 84-inch 4K Bravia TV, 84X900
Sony’s 4K TV will hit the US in November for $25,000 USD. The extra dollars give you a complete sound solution, Sony says. All Sony’s signature features are naturally built in and the 4K upscaling chips takes care of any upscaling needs. Sony’s TV will also be available in Europe at a later date.
Both TVs support passive 3D technology and the panel is manufactured and designed by LG.
