Dell has released a new range of IPS monitors; some with elegant edge-to-edge glass design and others with a slimmed-down frame. The S series will be available in five models from 21.5 to 27 inch sizes.
The Dell S series
Four new Dell monitors with IPS panels and one with a VA panel have been unveiled. The monitors are targeted at mainstream users and all five variants feature Full HD panels with edge LED backlighting.

The 24 and 27 inch variants come with Dell’s new edge-to-edge glass design that is change from previous Dell monitors that have all used matte coatings on the panel. The stand solution has also been changed and now only supports tilt adjustments. Input connectors include HDMI and D-SUB (VGA) – and DVI on the M variants. The cheaper variants come without the edge-to-edge glass design but with a slimmed-down frame.

The new models are called S2740L (27”), S2440L (24”), S2340M (23”), S2340L (23”), and S2240M (21.5”).
