Dell has put up a teaser for a new monitor on their web site. The banner teases a 29-inch monitor called U2913WM in the extra wide 21:9 aspect ratio. “Keep watching”, Dell says.

We recently asked if we really need 21:9 monitors? Dell seems to think so as they have started teasing a new 21:9 monitors on their website.

The U2913WM is a 29-inch PC monitor based the extra wide 21:9 aspect ratio, used for most movies. We are hearing that the monitor will utilize an IPS panel with a resolution of 2560x1080 pixels. However, we have not been able to confirm these details. The monitor is also said to include DVI, D-SUB (VGA), HDMI and DisplayPort connectors, as well as a 4-port USB hub.
No words on pricing or availability yet. "Keep watching".
