JVC is trying to differentiate their latest 55-inch BlackSapphire LCD-TV that comes with built-in 45W “virtual surround sound” and an integrated SlingPlayer.
JVC BlackSapphire TV
JVC’s latest 55-inch JLE55SP4400 has all the things you expect from a modern LCD-TV: a narrow frame, edge LED, and 3D. But it also has some unique features.

JVC’s latest 55-inch LCD-TV has a built-in soundbar and SlingPayer
Firstly, there is a quite powerful sound system. JVC says that the speakers deliver 45W in total. The speaker-system is not just more powerful than the average TV (that doesn’t say much, to be fair) but it can also imitate surround sound, JVC says.
JVC has also integrated SlingPlayer TV streaming, which means that the TV can receive TV channels over the internet if you have a Slingbox connected elsewhere in the home (or outside). Just to be 100 % clear: the integrated SlingPlayer TV solution is a receiver; not transmitter.

But it is still fairly thin
When it comes to picture quality JVC says that the 120 Hz CystalMotion system will improve motion playback. The TV implements passive 3D that only requires inexpensive polarized 3D glasses.
JVC also mentions about the I.C.E (Internet Connected Experience) system with internet apps, such as Netflix, YouTube, Vudu and Pandora. Users can connect the TV via cable or with WiFi. The remote also features a complete QWERTY keyboard and four HDMI inputs are provided.
The 55-inch JVC BlackSapphire JLE55SP4400 will be available in the US next month. It will cost $1,300.
