The TVs also come with Full HD panels and Quattron panels utilizing the extra yellow sub pixel color to create brighter pictures, Sharp says. The panels are edge LED-lit and promise deep black reproduction as well as active 3D support.
Sharp has implemented 5 speakers in total; 2 tweeters and 3 midrange/woofers. The maximum output from the speaker system, that should outperform typical thin TVs today, is 15 W.
The new Sharp 46, 52, 60, 70 and 80” XL9 models will be available in Japan from November and are expected to roll out in other regions later this year or next year.
