Sony promised to implement the “world’s first 4K delivery system” in their new 84-inch 4K TV. In reality it is just a hard drive that Sony loans to the customer. Ten 4K movies and some sports/concert content will be included from the beginning. More will be added later.

If you can afford Sony’s 84-inch 4K TV – or Ultra HD as the industry prefers to call it – you will receive ten 4K movies on a hard drive with your purchase.

Sony started talking about the world’s first 4K delivery system a few weeks ago and some speculated that Sony was making some kind of internet delivery platform available. It turns out that Sony was just talking about a hard drive that is loaned to customers of the 4K TV.
The movie catalogue includes The Amazing Spiderman, Total Recall, The Karate Kid, Salt, Battle Los Angeles, The Other Guys, Bad Teacher, That's My Boy, Taxi Driver, and The Bridge on the River Kwai. Sony has also included some sports clips from Red Bull.
Lastly, Sony says that their Xperia Tablet S is included as a remote control. It is starting to sound like a bargain – or maybe not.
