LG will be bringing all its display innovation to CES 2013, and have let us know that three Ultra HD TVs will be on display, as well as several other high-resolution displays for monitors and mobile devices. LG has also made further improvement to the 55-inch OLED-TV.
3 new Ultra HD TVs from LG
LG.Display – the manufacturing arm of LG – will bring 3 Ultra HD TVs to CES in 55, 65 and 84-inch sizes. The 84-inch version is not new but the two smaller variants are, and could lead the way to cheaper Ultra HD TVs. LG.Display not only produces TVs for LG but also a range of other brands, including Sony, Philips and Toshiba.

An Ultra HD TV – or 4K TV – has around 8 million pixels or four times that of today’s Full HD TVs. The new Ultra HD panels will also feature passive 3D technology.
Lighter OLED-TV
LG promises to bring its 55-inch OLED-TV to market in 2012 but they never did. Instead they have made further improvements to the design which means that the OLED-TV is now 1/5th lighter, weighing just 3.5 kg. The panel is only 4 mm thin.

Still no words on price or availability but we expect to hear more at CES 2013 this January.
Monitors, mobile devices and more
LG is also showcasing new high-resolution LCD panels for monitors, mobile devices and more. A new 30-inch with 4096x2160 pixel resolution is one of the highlights.
LG will also exhibit a new 7-inch tablet display with 1920x1200 pixels (and 324ppi) and a new 5.5-inch smartphone display with a pixel density of 403 ppi (pixels per inch).
