Samsung unveils a range of new TVs at CES 2013, including new LED models, OLED and Ultra HD TVs. For Samsung it is all about Smart TV, and here we take a look at the Smart TV features.
Samsung 2013 Smart TV
In 2013 it is about Smart TV – at least if you ask Samsung. One of the new features is ”S Recommendation” feature that recommends TV shows and movies to you based on you TV habits.

A new more user friendly interface is being introduced. It has been diveded into 5 sections; (1) On TV 2) Movies & TV Shows 3) Photos, Videos & Music 4) Social 5) Apps.). A section dedicated to video-on-demand, a section for pictures and music, a section for apps, a section for social media and a section for all that you are watching right now.
Samsung has also improved voice and motion control, and promises better voice recognition and the ability to control the TV more precisely with one or two hands. Samsung is also expanding integration with smartphones and tablets via the ”second screen experience” which basically means that you can see information about the content on the big screen on your smaller mobile screen.
Evolution Kit for 2012 buyers
Lastly, Samsung announces the Evolution Kit that upgrades 2012 Smart TVs (ES7000, ES8000, ES9000 and E8000) with the new 2013 Smart TV features. Evolution Kit will be available in the second quarter of 2013 and users will be able to upgrade from 2013 to 2016 with new evolutions kits. More on this later.
