Samsung has unveiled a curved OLED-TV at CES 2013 but LG has one, too. LG’s curved OLED-TV is based on a 55-inch panel but like Samsung, LG has not announced any plans to bring it to market.

OLED technology is wonderful and LG is demonstrating that they can do exactly what Samsung does. LG describes the 55-inch curved OLED-TV like this:
“With a gentle inward flex, the entire screen surface is equidistant from the viewer’s eyes, removing the problem of screen-edge visual distortion and detail loss”

LG says that the prototype even shows 3D via the Cinema 3D technology that is basically LG’s variant of passive 3D based on polarized 3D glasses.

LG calls it the EA9800 but no plans to bring it to market has been announced.
