LG and Sony have already announced pricing details for the new 84” models but Samsung’s Ultra HD TVs will be even more expensive. The 85” model starts at around 38,000 US dollars in South Korea, according to Samsung.

Sure, Samsung's Ultra HD TV offers a complete picture and sound system, and it produces pictures unlike anything else coming out of Samsung’s labs but the price tag will surely scare most away. Add the fact that this is a first-generation Ultra HD TV that cannot even receive 4K 3D signals and you have a very expensive toy.
Only 77 models will be produced at first. Samsung’s S9 Ultra HD TVs are up for pre-order now in Korea now and will be available later in USA and Europe.
