Apple TV has received an update that enables users to wirelessly send audio from movies or TV series, including Netflix and iTunes, to Airplay speakers. Apple has also added support for Bluetooth keyboards and iTunes in the Cloud.

The new iOS 5.2 update for the Apple TV introduces a few minor features and one important new feature. It is now possible to connect a wireless keyboard via Bluetooth, create playlists via Up Next, and play music from "iTunes in the Cloud"; music that you own on iTunes that is not stored on the actual Apple TV device.

The most important new feature is the extended Airplay integration. FlatpanelsHD was first to report that Apple was working on the unique Airplay feature. The new feature allows you to send audio from movies and TV series wirelessly to Airplay speakers on your home network. It works with all built-in apps, including Netflix, iTunes, Hulu Plus, Vimeo, YouTube etc.
In other words, you no longer need to connect a music system or speakers directly to your TV. The audio can play wirelessly on any Airplay speaker in the home. No more cables needed.
Super HD is now officially supported in the Netflix app on Apple TV. Lastly, Apple has fixed some bugs, including the Ethernet cable bug. Apple also refers to a new Apple TV version 3.2 in the latest software but it is likely just the international version of the Apple TV box that rolled out into new markets earlier this month.
