Toshiba has already announced a 84" Ultra HD TV but in 2013 we will also see two smaller 65 and 58 inch Ultra HD TVs from the Japanese TV maker. The new 9 series TVs will be powered by the CEVO chip.

Toshiba presents 3 Ultra HD TVs
Toshiba is not a household name but has produced some remarkable TVs over the years. Toshiba now turns its attention to Ultra HD, which they believe is the next step in the TV industry.


Toshiba will launch three Ultra HD TVs in 2013

The new 9 series will launch in 84, 65 and 58 inches. All three have Ultra HD resolution, equivalent to 3840x2160 pixels - or four times more pixels than a Full HD TV. The TVs are powered by Toshiba’s so-called CEVO engine that uses the same processors as in the PlayStation 3. The two largest TVs will use passive 3D but the smallest at 58 inches will incorporate active 3D.

Toshiba has also introduced its new Cloud TV platform with TV apps so you can access internet services such as YouTube and Netflix.

Toshiba’s Ultra HD TVs will be available this summer.  Pricing details have not been revealed but Toshiba says that they will carry “competitive” prices, which probably means that they will still be quite expensive when the other Ultra HD TVs are taken into consideration.
