Toshiba’s Ultra HD TVs will be the most impressive – and most expensive – to come out of Toshiba’s factories this year but they also have cheaper 1 to 7 TV ranges.

Toshiba’s 7 series
The 7 series come with slim designs and a very thin bezel. It will be available in 40, 50 and 58 inch versions with active 3D, WiDi technology, built-in WiFi. The 7 series TVs are based on edge LED backlighting.
The 6 series TVs are also edge LED based and still have a fairly slim design with brushed aluminum at the bottom. The 7 series will be available in 32 and 40 inch sizes. WiDi technology and WiFi is integrated.

Toshiba’s 4 series
The 4 series TVs will arrive in 32, 49 and 50 inch sizes. WiDi technology and WiFi is still available and users can also playback media files from a USB hard drive.
The 1 and 2 series are aimed at the budget segment of the market. Most of the TVs use 720p panels but goes up to Full HD for the larger size variants.
A new Cloud TV platform offers TV apps, including Netflix, iPlayer and YouTube, and other internet services. It can be found in the 4 series and above. The Cloud TV platform integrates the TV program guide with a picture-in-picture mode. The home screen can be individualized with social media and other information, and Toshiba also offers what they call “Premium apps”. In addition, Cloud TV has a media player that can access music, pictures and video from network devices or USB devices.
Toshiba’s 2013 TVs will be available in Europe and USA from May 2013.
