Netflix is preparing to roll out a new user interface on PlayStation 3 and select Smart TVs and Blu-ray players. The new interface is available to most PlayStation 3 owners now.
New Netflix interface
Netflix has often said that they use the PlayStation 3 as a testing environment for app development so it is probably not surprising to see Netflix’s latest user interface make its way to PlayStation 3 first.

The new user interface has an updated design “that is more consistent with the Netflix player on the Web as well as the mobile and tablet apps”. When playback starts you can now select audio language and subtitles. The “trickplay” feature that highlights small sample images when fast forwarding has also been improved in terms of design and performance, Netflix says.

The new user interface is rolling out to PlayStation 3 owners in select countries now and should be available for everyone very soon. Later it will roll out to select Smart TVs and Blu-ray players; mostly newer devices.
