Sony has released a new TV SideView app for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The app lets you browse the TV guide from your mobile device. You can also set up reminders for future TV shows.
Sony TV SideView app moves the TV Guide to your phone
Sony’s TV SideView app is designed for Sony's 2013 TVs. The aim is to let your handheld devices interact with your TV.

TV SideView
The TV SideView app’s main purpose is to let you browse the TV guide on a smartphone or tablet. On the touch screen you can scroll through your TV channels and see what’s on for the coming week. Once you find something you like you can tab on the TV programme in order to change the TV channel on the TV screen. You can also set up reminders for future TV shows.

TV SideView
TV SideView gathers all information on TV channels and TV programs from the Internet via Gracenote. The app also lets you access your recorded content, open TV apps and control your TV with a remote control interface. There is also a search box that lets you search for specific TV shows.
The TV SideView app works with Sony’s 2013 TVs (some features are also supported on the 2012 TVs), Blu-ray players, Home cinema systems and the latest Google TV devices. The app is free and can be downloaded for Apple iOS here and Google Android here.
