Vizio unveiled its plans to release an 80” TV back at CES 2013. Six months later, Vizio has finally released the gigantic TV. The good news is that it is it is $500 USD cheaper than what Vizio told everyone at CES.
Vizio releases its 80"TV, cheaper than expected
Large-size TVs are becoming cheaper, in part thanks to Sharp and Vizio. Vizio’s latest 80-inch TV is called M801d and has been released in stores throughout USA.

The TV is Vizio’s largest to date and it comes with an LCD panel with edge LED. It has a slim-bezel design and Vizio’s Apps Plus platform built in. The platform offers access to services such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, YouTube, Pandora and more. WiFi is built in.
The panel has 240 Hz frame interpolation and also supports passive 3D that relies on inexpensive polarized 3D glasses. Despite the large format, Vizio has decided to go with a Full HD panel but Vizio also has Ultra HD TVs coming later this year.
Vizio’s 80” M801d is available from retailers throughout USA, including Amazon
