As flat panel TVs have become thinner, soundbars have increased in popularity. Sharp’s new HT-SB60 soundbar has been designed for the largest TVs above 60” and also has imitated surround sound and a wireless subwoofer.
Sharp soundbar for large TVs
In recent years, Sharp has launched a range of large-size TVs and here comes the soundbar to accompany them. Sharp’s new soundbar is similar in length to a 60-inch TV, and with its 1.4 meters it is the longest soundbar on the market, says Sharp.

The soundbar delivers 310 watts (total RMS) from 2 midrange speakers and 1 dometweeter (160 RMS) in each side, and a wireless subwoofer that can be placed anywhere in the room. The soundbar is sleek and designed in piano lacquer.

Sharp also says that the soundbar can imitate surround sound with Arnis 3D technology. The bar can be connected to the TV via HDMI (ARC) or using an analog audio input.
Sharp HT-SB60 will become available this month. The price has not been announced.
