Samsung and LG have announced that their curved 55-inch OLED-TVs have been released in the US, after they were introduced in South Korean earlier this year. Both will set you back a hefty $15,000 USD.
Curved OLED-TVs for $15,000
LG was first to release its curved OLED-TV in South Korea back in May. Samsung followed shortly after in June with its curved OLED-TV. Both TVs are now launching in USA and prices are even more extreme than anticipated.

The 55-inch OLED-TVs are gently curved, which both companies claim will provide more immersive images. That is true – at least if the TV was a lot bigger and covered your entire field of view. Right now it is mostly a case of bagging rights, we assume.

Both TVs will cost $15,000 USD. LG’s OLED-TV is available now and sold exclusively through Best Buy. Samsung’s OLED-TV will be available this week through “select retailers”, including Value Electronics in New York.
