We already knew that it was coming and today Netflix has official launched its user profile feature. With user profiles each member of the family can have its own profile with individual TV and movie recommendations.
Netflix launches personal user profiles
If you are a Netflix user you know the problem. Dad, mom, and kids all watch different things on Netflix so Netflix’s recommendations for TV shows and movies are not necessarily very useful.

The new user profile feature fixes that. When opening your favorite Netflix app you will be greeted by the user profile screen. Simply select your personal profile and Netflix will make sure that you will receive recommendations based on your TV and movie preferences. Profiles are supported on the Netflix website, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iPad, iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, and most Smart TVs. More devices will be added later.
Netflix says that each user profile can connect to a Facebook account so everyone can share recommendations with friends. New profiles can be created on the Netflix website or on PlayStation 3. Up to 5 profiles can be created.
Netflix’s profile feature is rolling out today and in the next few weeks. Log on to see if you already have access on your account.
