Google released its streaming Chromecast dongle last week but only a few mobile apps support it so far. According to reports, HBO, Hulu, Redbox, Plex and Vimeo are all working on Chromecast support.

Chromecast is Google’s small streaming dongle that lets PC, Mac, Android and iOS users stream content to the TV screen. Chromecast is still limited in many regards but companies are lining up to support it.

Chromecast launched with support for Netflix, YouTube and Google Play Movies & TV Shows. Soon, we can add Hulu Plus, HBO Go and YouTube-like Vimeo to the mix, according to reports. It is said that also Redbox Instant is working on support and the Plex team is actively investigating the possibility.
