At last. After more than one and a half year’s wait, Samsung has released its first OLED-TV in the US. A curved OLED-TV, to be more specific.
The TV features Samsung’s RGB OLED technology, Full HD resolution, active 3D technology and Samsung’s quad-core powered Smart TV platform. It is also Samsung’s first TV to feature its MultiView technology that allows two users to see different TV shows on the TV by wearing 3D glasses.

Samsung says that the TV delivers “contrast ratio never before seen on conventional TVs” as well as very wide viewing angles, vivid and rich colors and extremely fast response time.
The TV has a metallic frame and a design inspired by what Samsung called “Timeless Arena”. All cables are inserted in a separate box that connects to the TV with a single cable.
Contradicting an earlier report from CNET that stated a $15,000 USD price tag for Samsung’s OLED-TV, it will cost 40 % less at $9000 USD. LG currently sells its 55” curved OLED-TV for $15,000.
