Panasonic has announced new Blu-ray recorders for the European market. The two DMP-BCT735 and DMP-BCT835 models will be available in October. Prices start at 579 Euro.
Panasonic unveils new Blu-ray recorders
At IFA 2013 Panasonic unveiled two new Blu-ray recorders with built-in HDD. Notice that Panasonic calls them “Blu-ray recorders”. That is because they can record onto Blu-ray discs, and obviously also onto the built-in hard drive (and onto a Blu-ray from there, if you want).
Panasonic DMP-BCT73
The two new models are called DMP-BCT735 and DMP-BCT835 and include both DVB-C and DVB-T tuners. The two players have more in common than they have differences. The only major difference is the 500 GB and 1 TB capacity. Both come in either black or silver, and both have twin tuners.
Panasonic DMP-BCT83
3D and 2D Blu-ray is supported, as well as DVD and CD. The players can also playback video and audio in mkv, flac, mpeg4, avi, and other formats. Lastly, Panasonic says that the “Smart TV” capabilities of its TVs are integrated, providing access to streaming and other TV apps. TV channels and recorded TV shows can be streamed to another TV in your home or to a smartphone or tablet via WiFi.
The new DMP-BCT735 and DMP-BCT835 models are available now in some European countries, and will be available shortly in other European countries. They will sell for 579 and 679 Euro, respectively.
