Apple has updated the Apple TV software to version 6.0. The update adds Airplay from iCloud, iTunes Radio, shared Photostreams, and Podcast syncing.
Update: The new software has been pulled, as it bricked some ATV boxes. It can still be downloaded online and installed with a USB cable and iTunes.
Update 2: The new software is available on the Apple TV again with bug fixes. Download it from the menu.

In the new update, following the release of iOS7 the mobile devices, Apple has added a range of features that were introduced with iOS7.
The most important addition is iTunes Radio. iTunes Radio lets users create radio stations based on artists or music tracks that they like. iTunes Radio is free to use, but contains advertisement. If you subscribe to iTunes Match it is also advertisement-free.

A new Airplay from iCloud feature has been added that lets users stream movies and TV shows directly from iCloud via Airplay. This is useful when you are visiting friends or family and want to playback your content. You do not need to have the content stored on your device, but can simply start streaming directly from iCould, via the Airplay button. It requires iOS7 on your iPhone/iPad.
Apple has also added Podcast syncing between iOS devices and Apple TV, and has integrated support for shared Photostream on Apple TV. Lastly, you can now change the look of subtitles and buy music directly from the iTunes store on Apple TV.
Apple recently added new TV apps and services on the Apple TV, but there are still no news regarding an app store. Rumor says that a new version of the Apple TV box will arrive in october.
