Roku has launched a new line-up of it media streaming boxes. The Roku LT stays around, but Roku is introducing new Roku 1, Roku 2 and Roku 3 boxes. All three will be available in the US, UK, Canada and Ireland.Roku updates its media streamers with 1, 2, 3
Roku’s boxes are some of the most popular media streamer boxes around as they offer an app for pretty much any TV service, a good user interface, and attractive price points.
Roku presents the new boxes as follow:
Roku says that more than 1000 channels are available in the US, and more than 450 channels are available in the UK, Canada and Ireland. Roku has also announced a new partnership with M-GO that will bring M-GO’s movies and TV shows to the front page of the Roku user interface. The free iOS and Android apps let users control the Roku boxes from a smartphone or tablet, and the new Play on Roku lets users stream music, video, and photos to the big screen.
Roku LT, Roku 1 and Roku 2 will be available in the US beginning in October for $50, $60, and $80. The Roku 3 is already available in all regions. The 1 and 2 will also be available in the UK, Canada, and Ireland beginning this October.
