Philips has announced that Spotify, Cloud TV and Cloud Explorer apps have arrived on their 2013 Smart TVs from the 6 series and up. Cloud TV is a service that lets you stream TV channels over the internet.
Spotify & Cloud TV on Philips Smart TV
Spotify requires no further introduction, and Philips says that Spotify Premium members can now stream music via its Smart TVs and a new Spotify app. New customers can try Spotify for free for 30 days, says Philips.

The Cloud TV service was unveiled at IFA 2013. The app allows Philips owners to stream hundreds of local and international TV channels over the internet directly to the TV screen. Cloud TV offers access to both premium (pay) channels and free channels, but not all TV channel operators have decided to partner with Philips at this point.
Lastly, Philips has added the Cloud Explorer app. Cloud Explorer is based on Dropbox and basically offers access to your photos, videos, and music files in your Dropbox locker from an interface on the TV screen.
Cloud TV is supported by Philips’ 2012 and 2013 Smart TVs. However, only 2013 Philips Smart TVs get to play with Spotify and Cloud Explorer. The two latter apps require a TV from the 6008, 7008, 8008 or 9708 range.
