Sharp has unveiled new Full HD TVs for Europe. LE762 offers Smart TV features, and the new LD265 and LD165 are budget models with basic features. The new TVs will be available in April.
Sharp’s new 2014 Full HD TVs
In addition to the new 4K Ready TVs, Sharp is planning to release new Full HD models in Europe. The LE762 (LE760 or LE761 in some regions) is the most interesting of the three. It has a minimalistic look with a slim profile and a very thin bezel around the panel.

It is based on edge LED and offers picture systems such as Active Motion 300Hz. It features passive 3D technology that lets you experience 3D by using the same inexpensive 3D glasses that you know from movie theatres.

The LE762 also has a range of Smart TV features. It is built on a dual-core processor and offers TV apps such as Netflix and Skype through the Aquos Net+ platform. It supports HbbTV and it is possible to mirror your Android smartphone or tablet screen onto the TV via Miracast. It also has built-in USB recording and time-shifting, which require an external USB hard drive.

The two cheaper LD265 and LD165 models are budget TVs for bedrooms and other secondary rooms. They offer none of the Smart TV features, but it is still possible to playback media files from a USB hard disc or USB dongle. The LD265 is a Full HD model, whereas the LD165 is a 720p model.
Sharp’s 2014 TVs will be available in April. LE762 will be available in 42 and 50 inch sizes, LD265 in 42, 46 and 50 inch sizes, and LD165 only as a 32 inch variant.
