Several of the markets on the list were included in the original launch plans, but the Xbox One was delayed. Today, Microsoft has confirmed that the game console will expand to 26 new countries in September.

Almost a year late

Microsoft launched the Xbox One in November 2013, but had to delay it in several countries shortly after announcing the official list. Despite rumors of a April launch gamers will be sad to learn that they have to wait patiently until September.

Microsoft has confirmed the news today. They say that they had to delay the game console due to overwhelming demand. However, several sources have pointed to other issues, such as hardware and software problems. When confirming the news, Microsoft also said that current Xbox One owners spend an average of 5 hours in front of the game console per day.

Microsoft will reveal more details about the September launch in April.

The full list of countries that will have to wait until September is found below:
Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and UAE.
