Samsung has stopped producing and selling OLED TVs, according to a report from Korea Herald. But Samsung is unlikely to pull out of the OLED market, and the halt in production is likely only temporary.

LG has taken the lead in OLED TVs and has made significant price cuts to its OLED TVs since the introduction. LG will also release 4K OLED TVs later this year. Samsung, on the other hand, is struggling.
Things have gotten so bad that Samsung has decided to stop producing and selling OLED TVs, says Korea Herald. Samsung’s OLED TV was scheduled to launch in several more regions late last year, but it never happened.
Several sites have reported that Samsung is pulling out of the OLED TV market, but that is unlikely to happen. Samsung is simple having production issues that have forced them to stop production in the near term while they are working on improving production efficiency.
Samsung said in January 2014 that they will need 3-4 more years to make OLED TVs cheap. Korea Herald claims to know that Samsung will not release new OLED TVs this year, because of the low production yields.
