Philips has announced what they call the world’s first two-in-one monitor concept. It combines two 19-inch monitors with an almost seamless 3.5 mm border in-between.
A clever two-in-one concept
The 19DP6QJNS has won the 2014 COMPUTEX d&i Gold Award for “outstanding innovation”, and it is indeed in interesting concept. Philips is promoting it as a solution or both work and games.

Philips has combined two 19-inch IPS monitors on a single stand to create a wider viewing experience that you can twist slightly towards you through a swivel mechanism in the center – an experience kind of like the first curved PC monitors. The border between the two panels is 3.5 mm.
You can connect it to a PC via DisplayPort, D-SUB (VGA) or HDMI, but you need two cables; one to each monitor. There are also two USB ports on each monitors, so a total of four.

The Philips 19DP6QJNS (Philips, please streamline your model name structure!) will be available in Asia soon and is expected to expand to other regions in the third quarter of 2014.
