Panasonic's 2014 TVs are now shipping
This is the first year without plasma TVs from Panasonic. Instead they have a full line-up of LCD/LED models with Full HD and Ultra HD resolution. The TVs are now shipping from stores in the US and Europe.Panasonic’s 2014 TVs in stores
It is still a bit weird to see a TV line-up from Panasonic without plasma TVs, but we have to get used to it. Panasonic will instead focus on LCD technology in the near-term and OLED technology in the future.
Panasonic’s new Ultra HD range is called AX800 and packs Panasonic’s latest TV technologies, including the Life+ Smart TV platform. It offers HDMI 2.0 connectivity for future 4K players, but unfortunately there is no 4K Netflix support.
Panasonic has also released a range of new Full HD models, including the flagship AS800 model, and cheaper 7, 6 and 5 series. Most of the new TVs offer TV apps, 3D, and a smart touch remote. In Europe, several TVs also come with twin tuners.
