The One Connect is here - but with lots of issues
Samsung has released its new Evolution Kits that allow owners of old Smart TVs to upgrade to the 2014 features. However, many buyers of the One Connect experience major issues. Two new Evolution Kits
Samsung allows buyers of high-end Smart TVs to upgrade the hardware each year with the so-called Evolution Kit. The 2014 versions are now available throughout the USand Europe.
Samsung has released two Evolution Kits:
Smart Evolution Kit (Full HD)
One Connect Box (Ultra HD)
Many buyers experience problems
As last year’s F9000 model did not offer HDMI 2.0 and HEVC, which are essential for 4K playback, many owners are looking to upgrade via the One Connect, but buyers are experiencing major problems.Buyers are reporting issues about installation, faulty cables, image flickering, bad picture quality and a missing Netflix app.
Samsung recommends that you install the last software before upgrading. Sometimes the latest software has to be downloaded from Samsung’s website and installed via USB. Samsung is also working on fixing the other issues and will release a software update in July that will bring back the Netflix app.
