Apple TV now supports Netflix's post-play

22 Jul 2014 | Rasmus Larsen |

Netflix’s post-play function has finally arrived on Apple TV. Post-play automatically starts the next episode of a TV series after you have finished the previous episode.

Netflix Post-Play on Apple TV

Other media players such as PlayStation and Xbox have offered post-play for some time, and it has even been available on Apple’s iOS devices. At long last, Apple TV has joined the party.

When an episode of a TV series is going into the ending credits you will be presented with a choice to continue watching the next episode in a side-by-side view. There is a small countdown timer in the corner, but you can also manually start the episode or jump back to the episode overview.

Netflix post-play

Post-play has become very popular as Netflix often releases all episodes of a TV series such as House of Cards, Orange is the New Black or Derek simultaneously. Netflix also recently added an indicator showing how much of a season you have watched so far.

The new function is currently rolling out internationally, but is not yet available on our Apple TV device at the office. Does it work for you?
