You sit very close to your PC monitor and combined with the extra wide 21:9 aspect ratio, LG thinks you will be pleasantly surprised about its new 34-inch curved monitor. LG will also unveil a new 4K monitor and a 24-inch gaming monitor at IFA 2014.
A curved monitor on your table
LG’s new curved 34-inch monitor has been dubbed 34UC97, and LG calls it a “world’s first”. It has been designed for the needs of “professional users and home entertainment enthusiasts”.

The monitor is based on an IPS panel with 3440x1440 pixel resolution that allows you to place three documents or webpages side-by-side. 34UC97 is compatible with both PC and Mac through a Thunderbolt 2 port. It also has integrated 7W speakers.
More details about the 34UC97 will be unveiled at IFA 2014 next month, along with details about a new 31-inch 4K monitor called 31MU97 and 24-inch gaming monitor called 24GM77.

The 4K 31MU97 will offer a “true 4K” resolution of 4096x2160, and IPS panel, and 99% AdobeRGB coverage. The 24GM77 gaming monitor offers a 144 Hz TN panel and a so-called DAS (Dynamic Action Sync) mode that reduces input lag.
Expect to hear more at IFA 2014 in September.
