At IFA 2014, Philips is launching four new Ultra HD TVs, all of them based on Philips’ Android TV platform. 7909 will be the cheapest TV of the four, and Philips also has a new curved model.

The new flagship is 9809. It was unveiled earlier this year, but the three other TVs are brand new. 9109 is also a high-end model, 8909C is a curved TV and 7909 is an affordable route into the world of Ultra HD.

9809 offers all of Philips’ latest systems, including of course Ultra HD resolution. It has been built from true and exclusive materials and the sound experience is said to be powerful, not least because of the wireless subwoofer. All of the latest Smart TV features are available through the Android interface.

9109 is the step-down, but still a member of the high-end 9 series. It offers four-sided Ambilight, Android Smart TV and supports the same wireless subwoofer.
At IFA, Philips is also launching its first curved TV called 8909C. It has Ultra HD resolution, but will only be available in a 55-inch version. Besides that it integrated three-sided Ambilight and the Android platform.

Lastly, Philips has announced the affordable 7909, which combines the Ultra HD resolution with Philips’ Android experience. It has been designed with a slim brushed aluminum frame and a front glass. Other details include two-sided Ambilight and Android Smart TV.

The new Philips TVs will be available throughout Europe, starting from October.
