Samsung has teased it on several occasions and is now launching its first curved PC monitor. The S27D590C is a 27-inch Full HD monitor with a $429.99 price tag.
Samsung’s curved S27D590C
Samsung already has a range of curved TVs, but this is its first curved screen for the desktop. Samsung says that it has a curvature of 4000R, which makes it appear larger than it really is and gives a wider field of view.

The monitor uses a VA panel with 1920x1080 pixels. VA panels generally offer the best contrast ratios of LCD panel types. Other specifications include a response time of 4 ms, 350 cd/m2 brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio. You can connect it to a PC via HDMI, DisplayPort and D-SUB.
The SD590C model also has integrated “surround sound” speakers that can imitate some form of surround, and Samsung points out that you can connect two or three curved monitors for an incredible viewing experience.
The Samsung S27D590C will be available in the US in October, and is available for pre-order for $429.99 now
