In August, LG confirmed that it would end plasma production in the near future. The company now confirms that it will end plasma TV production by the end of next month. Bye bye plasma.
To focus on OLED and LCD
Panasonic produced its last plasma TV late last year, and Samsung will end plasma TV production next month. LG will also exit the market next month, a LG spokesperson has confirmed to Reuters.

Instead, LG will continue to focus on LCD technology and increase its focus on the next-generation display technology OLED. OLED is suitable for TVs as well as smaller displays in monitors, mobile devices and even watches. The technology also allows LG to make paper-thin and flexible displays.
Next month, plasma is history. If you want to buy a plasma TV you should do it now.
